Liturgy Bot

Effective date: 23 March 2026

What Liturgy Bot is

Liturgy Bot is a private automated service that generates a weekly Children's Liturgy of the Word document for a single Catholic parish in the Diocese of Westminster. It is developed and operated independently. It is not a public-facing application and has no external users.

What data is collected

Liturgy Bot stores the email addresses of two parish catechists in order to deliver the weekly document. No other personal data is collected.

How the data is used

Email addresses are used exclusively to send the weekly liturgy document and occasional notification emails via SMTP (Brevo relay). The generated document is also archived to a shared Dropbox folder. Liturgy Bot does not access contacts, calendars, or any other personal data.

What data is stored

Recipient email addresses and API credentials are stored securely on the hosting platform. No email content, user data, or personal information is stored, logged, or retained beyond what is required for delivery and archiving.

Data sharing

Liturgy Bot does not share any personal data with third parties. The generated liturgy document is sent only to two designated recipients and saved to a private Dropbox folder.

Data retention and deletion

No personal data beyond recipient email addresses is retained. Recipients can request removal at any time by contacting the developer.

Security

All credentials are stored securely on the hosting platform with access restricted to the application. The application runs in an isolated container. No credentials are stored in code or configuration files.
